Role of a Heavy Duty Technician at ATS Fleet Service
Join ATS Fleet Service as a Heavy Duty Technician and embark on a challenging and rewarding career. Our technicians perform maintenance and repair work on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and equipment, including oil changes, brake adjustments, and electrical system diagnostics. You’ll need to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics to diagnose and repair equipment effectively.
Success in this role requires excellent technical and interpersonal skills. You’ll communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure timely and efficient repairs. A positive attitude and a willingness to continue learning are essential, with opportunities for further training and development within our organization.
To qualify, you must have a Chauffeur License to operate service vehicles. Entry-level technicians need a positive attitude and a willingness to learn, while Master Technicians require at least 5 years of industry experience and all 6 Michigan Heavy Duty Certifications. Integrity and business ethics are crucial at all levels.

Role of an OTR Tire Technician at Alma Tire Companies
OTR & COMMERCIAL TIRE TECHNICIAN is an important role within our organization and a great way to start a career in the heavy-duty truck service industry. Tires are a big part of who we are and what we do! This role will consist of mounting, dismounting, patching, and repairing heavy truck and agricultural tires as well as performing alignments and roadside service. We offer extensive on-the-job training from industry experts. The perfect candidate would have some mechanical inclination, a great work ethic and a positive attitude. Experience with OTR tires preferred. We will provide the rest of the tools for the job. The typical shift is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM with rotational half days on Saturday. THIS ROLE WILL REQUIRE OPERATING A 24-HOUR SERVICE TRUCK IN A MONTHLY ROTATION AFTER COMPLETION OF INDUSTRY TRAINING.
