Lead Commercial Tire Technician Job Description:

As a Lead Commercial Tire Technician at ATS Fleet Service, the candidate for this position will have at least 2 years of experience and be responsible for teaching and performing standard tire installation and repairs on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and equipment.

In addition to technical skills, the ideal Lead Commercial Tire Technician will possess excellent communication skills, including the ability to assess repair needs and process work orders while maintaining point of contact with customers. They will also be responsible for supervising Commercial Tire Technician Trainees throughout the training progression, including their completion of the Tire Industry Association Commercial Tire Service Certification Program. The Lead Commercial Tire Technician must also have completed and obtained certification for the TIA Commercial Tire 400 Level Course.

Responsibilities for this position include demonstrating mastery of the skillset needed to perform after-hour service calls in a rotation and being eligible for the bonus program. They will also be responsible for shipping and receiving customer wheels that require processing for reconditioning and maintaining a clean and organized working environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing standard tire installation and repairs on large industrial equipment. We require our team members to show up on time, every time, and be ready to work with a positive attitude.

To qualify for this position, you must have a minimum of two years of experience and hold a CDL B endorsement to operate a Boom Truck. You will also be required to complete the Tire Industry Association Earthmover Tire Service Certification Program under the direct supervision of a Lead Technician and obtain certification for the TIA Earthmover or Agricultural ETS 300 Level Course.

Additionally, you will have completed and obtained certification for the TIA Earthmover or Agricultural ETS 400 Level Course, and demonstrate mastery of the skillset needed to perform after-hour service calls in a rotation, as well as excellent communication skills.
