Intermediate Heavy Duty Technician Job Description:

The ideal candidate for our Intermediate Heavy Duty Technician position will have 2-3 years of experience in a relevant industry and hold 2-4 Michigan Heavy Duty Certifications. They must also have a positive attitude and a willingness to continue learning and performing intermediary vehicle maintenance on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and equipment. Responsibilities include demonstrating proficiency in multiple heavy-duty repair categories without mentor supervision, maintaining a clean and organized working environment, and upholding personal integrity and business ethics at all times. Eligible employees will also have the opportunity to participate in the Efficiency Bonus Program, which rewards employees for maintaining a minimum of 75% efficiency per month.

Master Heavy Duty Technician Job Description:

If you are a highly experienced Heavy Duty Technician looking to join our team at ATS Fleet Service, we encourage you to apply for our Master Heavy Duty Technician role. To qualify as a Master Heavy Duty Technician, the successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience and hold all 6 Michigan Heavy Duty Certifications (ASE Certifications Preferred). They must also possess excellent communication skills and be willing to teach and perform advanced vehicle maintenance on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and equipment.

Responsibilities for the Master Heavy Duty Technician will include demonstrating expert proficiency with electronic software, diagnostics, and overall drivability of heavy truck power units, as well as mastery of the overall skillset needed to perform after-hour service calls in a rotation and meet eligibility requirements for the Efficiency Bonus Program with a maintained minimum of 90% efficiency per month. A Master Heavy Duty Technician will also possess excellent communication skills, including assessing repair needs and processing work orders while maintaining point of contact with customers. A CDL A Endorsement is preferred for this position.
